Grooming

Trinny & Susannah in their book The Survival Guide: A Woman’s Secret Weapon For Getting Through The Year say that July is the time to think about the art of not looking your age by booking a mid-winter facial and eyelash tint.

Camilla Morton in her book How To Walk In High Heels: A Girls Guide To Everything explains how to achieve perfection by maintaining yourself. She admits that while appearances are not everything , ensuring you have a regular MOT is just part of being a lady. Although waxing hurts it ensures finer regrowth, lasts longer than shaving and gives a smoother more feminine feel. Exfoliate two days before your waxing appointment, it frees follicles ensuring hair is pulled from the roots and makes it less painful. Take a pain killer the day of the appointment and allow yourself a couple of days afterwards for your skin to calm and to stop looking like a plucked chicken.  These are basic no frills essentials. Alarming but true and ideally everything should be done by a professional in a salon. Individuals should asses need and budget accordingly. You budget for upkeep of your house and car so why cut corners on yourself. Copy the following schedule into your diary /planner and ensure you keep the system smooth and purring.
